Why The Great Gutsby Exists
The Great Gutsby was born from a journey of healing, heartbreak, and deep devotion—to self-care, to wellness, and to the people I love most.
For years, I struggled with perioral dermatitis. While I haven’t yet found complete relief, the process of seeking answers led me somewhere unexpected and powerful. I began to see the bigger picture—how gut health affects so much more than just our skin. Once I removed things like seed oils and became intentional about what I consumed, I started uncovering the root causes behind so many other symptoms I’d just learned to live with—bloating, fatigue, hormonal imbalances, and brain fog.
That awakening changed everything. It led me to a simpler, more nourishing way of living. One rooted in real food, daily rituals, and listening to what my body actually needs.
And then came the moment that truly shifted everything—when my best friend, Shae, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at just 38. Her passing in January 2025 broke my heart wide open. Shae was a devoted mother, the fiercest friend, and the kind of woman who made you feel seen and safe. I knew I wanted to honour her strength by creating something meaningful—something that could support others in their own healing journeys.
And behind every step of mine stands my husband. He is the beating heart of our home. The most driven, passionate, and grounded person I know. His relentless pursuit of strength, longevity, and personal growth touches everything we do as a family. He inspires me more than anyone. Whether it’s through the way he moves, the way he fuels his body, or the way he shows up for all of us—he leads by example. This entire vision has been shaped and uplifted by him.
Together we raise our three beautiful children—who are the reason I care so deeply about what goes into our bodies, our minds, and our home. This business is also for them. I want them to see that health isn’t about perfection—it’s about intention, love, and taking care of yourself one small step at a time.
The Great Gutsby is my way of sharing everything I’ve learned (and continue to learn) about gut health and whole-body nourishment. It’s a space for healing, simplicity, and connection. A place to find thoughtful tools—starting with our signature tea blend—that support you from the inside out.
